9.14 – Base
Within this section it will explain the correct procedure on removing and reinstalling the Base for
servicing procedures or replacement.
Removal
Step 1 – Remove the Leg Actuator Cable. (See section 9.2.3)
Step 2 - To detach the Mast and Upper Assembly from the Base the Two Star Knobs shown
must be removed.
Step 3 – Raise the Mast and Upper Assembly vertically off the Base to remove.
Step 4 – Remove the Foot Tray from the Base. (See section 9.12)
Step 5 – Place the Base on its side for easier service.
Step 6 – Remove the Rear Castors. (See section 9.10)
Step 7 – Remove the Legs from the Base. (See section 9.11) – Front Castor removal is not
necessary.
Step 8 – Remove the Leg Rod Assembly. (See section 9.7)
Step 9 – Remove the Leg Actuator Assembly. (See section 9.8)
Refitting / Replacement
Step 10 - Refitting is a reversal of the removal process noting the following point:
A) Ensure the Star Knobs are secured tight, and that the Mast is secured without play inside
the Base.
