9.7 – Leg Rod Assembly
Within this section it will explain the correct procedure on removing and reinstalling the
Manual Leg Rods for servicing procedures or replacement.
Removal
Step 1 – Remove the Foot Tray from the Base. (Refer to section 9.12)
Step 2 - Place the Stand Aid on its side for easier service.
Step 3 – Remove the Four Bolts circled in the image below using a 6mm Allen Key.
Step 4 – The Leg Rods can be removed from the product.
Refitting / Replacement
Step 5 - Refitting is a reversal of the removal process noting the following points.
A) Ensure the Bolts are tight and that the Rods are secure, Check functionality of the
Rods by using the Manual Leg Opener. Ensure the Legs fully open and close
smoothly.
B) Ensure the Rods are securing into the correct threaded hole, see image in step 3 for
guidance.
C) Use an adequate amount of Loctite 243 on the four Bolts when securing.
