STEP 3: PREPARE AND INSTALL CABINET
1. Slide chassis from cabinet.
2. For detailed instructions, see Step 1, in the Window Mounting section, above.
3. Place cabinet into opening with bottom rail resting firmly on bottom board of
wooden frame.
4. Position cabinet to achieve proper slope for water removal. (See Fig. AE below.)
5. Secure bottom rail to wood frame with two wood screws of 1" (2.5cm) length using
the two holes in the bottom of the channel resting on frame as shown (Fig. AD)
6. Ensure that the cabinet is tilted back about 1 ¼" to 1 ⅝" (about 3° to 4° downward
towards the outside. After proper installation, water should not drain out of the
back of the unit but should be evaporated with the help of the rear fan splashing a
pool of water up onto the condenser coils. It is important, however, that the air con-
ditioner not be sloped inward as water can spill into the room being conditioned.

7. Refer to Step 5 of Window Mounting Instructions above for assembly of support
brackets. A wooden strip nailed to the outside wall should be used in conjunction
with sill support angle brackets.
