Similarly to the input MIDI channel, each Instrument also needs an audio output channel
assignment. This specifies to which of KONTAKT's own mixer channels the output signal of
that Instrument will be routed.
To change the audio output:
Click on the Output label in the Instrument Header:
Assign an audio output to your Instrument with the Output drop-down menu.
The available choices depend on the configuration of the Outputs section in your KONTAKT
instance; in other words, they don't refer to physical audio outputs per se. For more infor-
mation about KONTAKT's internal audio routing, refer to the Outputs section chapter of the
KONTAKT 4 Reference Manual.

4.4.2 Adjusting Volume and Panning

You can set the playback volume and stereo panorama position for each Instrument in your
Multi independently. This is useful for creating a sub-mix inside your KONTAKT instance. If
multiple Instruments are being routed to the same audio output at the same time, there's no
way to change their respective volumes or panorama positions independently from outside
KONTAKT.
In order to change the playback volume of an Instrument:
Click and drag the horizontal slider on the right side of its Instrument Header:
Instrument Volume slider
