10.3 Install a water filter

A BRITA AquaAroma Crema water filter can be placed inside the water tank
from production date 21-03-2021 (see the date stamp on the bottom of the
water tank).
► Follow the original instructions of the purchased filter for more information
regarding use and maintenance.
Please note
► If you use the Sprso normally the water filter lasts for a certain amount of time.
This amount of time is mentioned in the manual of the water filter. If you do not
use the Sprso whilst the water filter is installed this will decrease the lifespan of
the water filter.

• unpack the filter
• read the installation instructions provided with the filter
• to activate the filter run tap water through the filter until
water comes out of the opening for more than a minute
• fill a clean bowl of fresh cold water
• insert the filter in the water tank and immerse it
completely for about ten seconds, sloping it and pressing
it lightly to enable the air bubbles to escape.
• remove the water tank from the Sprso
• put the filter in place and press as far as it will go
• fill the water tank with fresh cold non-carbonated water
• put the water tank back in the Sprso
► When you install you must notify the Sprso of its presence
as described in section "7.1.6 Water filter" on page 35.
