7.1.5 Descale

Descaling the Sprso removes all lime scale within the water system.

This extends the life-cycle of the Sprso.

Necessities:

• descale agent (recommended: "RENEGITE", our proven descaling agent)

• measuring jug (500 ml)

• total time : ± 20 minutes

► The descaling process cannot be interrupted after the descaling agent is in the Sprso!

► Remove the water filter (if applicable) to ensure it won't be damaged by the descaling agent.

► Disconnect the milk unit (if connected) to prevent taste transfer.

The Sprso must be descaled fequently:

• press start to confirm or

• press < or > to scroll through the maintenance menu

Step 1 information:

• press > to go to the next step

► xxx Indicates how much water the machine has used and

yyy is set after which descaling is required (see section

7.3.10 on page 65).

Step 2 information:

• length of time

► If a fixed water connection is used additional steps are

necessary:

» close the water tap

» disconnect the hose from the water tank (see the

sticker on the water tank).
