Installation

1 Machine

Take the machine from the pallet.

Remove the transport reinforcement bars from the stand.

Open the left cover.

Remove the waste-toner bag.

Remove the black plastic cover at the left-hand side (3 screws).

Open the right side cover (3 screws).

Remove at the left and right side the cable ties from the upper feed assembly.

Remove the cardboard protections from the exposure lamp 04E1 on both sides.

Mount the lamp connectors. Make sure that the wires do not touch any mova-

ble parts.
Connect the connector to the control panel 22PBA03.

Open the fuser unit and remove the protection material at the left and right
11
hand sides.
Make sure that:
Note:
The heater is down at the rear side.
The heater connectors are correctly placed.
The wiring of the heaters does not touch any movable parts.
The high voltage wiring of the high voltage supply 22PBA04 does not touch
any movable parts.
Disconnect the toner concentration sensor 05B1 (left-hand side).

Disconnect connector 05X1 (toner supply motor 05M1 left hand side).

Remove the toner dosage unit (1 screw).

Loosen the 2 screws in the protection cover (see the cross view).

Lift the protection cover and turn it to the rear.

Disconnect the bias connector from the developing unit (right hand side).

Lower the paper feed table.

Remove the original feed table (1 screw at the right).

Remove the protection cover of the developing unit.

Remove the left and right brackets (2 screws).

Remove the 2 screws (left and right) from the developing unit (see drawing on
22
the next page).
Slide the developing unit to the front and remove it.

Put the developing unit on a flat surface with the upper lid open.
