2.7. Electrical connections

The connection diagram on p. 44 shows the con-

nections and paths of the UMC handheld con-

troller, foot switch, motor focus and PC to the

zoom system and the distribution box. The distribu-

tion box is supplied with the zoom system.The con-

nection to a PC requires a standard PC with RS232

interface and a Leica PC Interface Kit. The individ-

ual commands are described in a separate com-

mand description supplied with the PC Interface

Kit.

The CTL1 connection is an R232 interface to

which the Leica PC Interface Kit and the foot

switch can be connected via Y cable.

The UMC handheld controller and the motor

focus can be connected to the two CTL2 con-

nections.
