This operating manual contains installation, operation and maintenance instructions for the HAMACH
PAPER AND PLASTIC BALE PRESS. The machine is referred to below simply as the "press". The press
is an innovative and fully pneumatic press for baling masking papers, lightweight cardboard and
masking film.
The press is equipped with a safety cut-out in accordance with EU Directive for machines and presses
EN 13736: 2003-01 + A1: 2009-02. Before using the press for the first time, read this manual through
carefully and be sure to observe the sections marked
This instruction manual forms a constituent part of the press. It must be kept in good condition, so
that it is always available and legible throughout the entire service life of the press.
E.M.M. International BV rejects all and any claims for compensation arising from failure to follow this
operating manual or through negligence in handling the press.
Service work and claims under guarantee will be handled by E.M.M International.
CAUTION!
Only basic daily maintenance of the press may be carried out by a competent operator (See Section
7).

3. Guarantee

On receipt of the press, ensure that no damage has occurred in transit, either to the packaging or to
the press itself, and check that all components are present and complete. Any claims for loss or
damage must be reported to your supplier within two days after receipt of the press.
The buyer may only make a claim under guarantee if he or she has observed the conditions of the
guarantee set out below.
E.M.M. International BV herewith declares that this product is covered by the guarantee as set out
below:
The press is guaranteed for a period of 12 months form the date of receipt as confirmed by a
supplier's delivery note. In the event of a guarantee claim, the serial number and year of
manufacture of the press must be quoted.
The guarantee covers free replacement or repair of a part for which a claim is made and
which is found to have a manufacturing defect, excluding labour costs.
Guarantee work will be carried out by the manufacturer or by a service company authorised
by the manufacturer. The press must be returned carriage paid to E.M.M Deutschland. The
press will also be shipped to the user again at the cost of the user. Should it be necessary for
an engineer or technician to be called out to the installation site, the service company will bill
the user for the travel costs plus mileage and repair time in accordance with a fixed fee scale.
There will be no charge for the time taken to repair or replace parts that are covered by the
guarantee.
The manufacturer rejects all claims for compensation with regard to any injury to persons or
damage to buildings arising directly or indirectly from failure to observe this operating manual
or the warnings included therein. This applies in particular to failure to observe the warnings
concerning the setting up, connection, operation and care (maintenance) of the press. This
guarantee does not cover any claims relating to direct or indirect consequential damage
resulting from any period during which the press is idle. The guarantee is only valid once the
press has been paid for in full.
