• Do not replace the battery of the handheld terminal in the explosion
hazardous area.
• For a BARCON with FM or CSA certificate: Electrical connection according
to "Installation drawing" (enclosed in the packing of the Barcon).
• For correct transmission of the communication signal, a minimum
resistance of 250

The HART modem connects the Barcon with a HART protocol to the RS 232 C serial
interface of a personal computer. This enables the Barcon to be remotely operated with
operating program PACTware.
