NTI PRIMUX FIRMWARE UPGRADE

Prepare to Download Host Adapter code to the User Station

From Bootloader Mode, at the COMPUTER's terminal emulation program (see page 3 "Put the PRIMUX User Station
into Bootloader Mode").
•
Press <Enter> to establish communications with the User Station.
The following Option Menu should be displayed along with the 'BootlLdr User Station:' prompt

Download ROM File

Select a ROM File type that will be downloaded.
At the COMPUTER's terminal emulation program and the 'BootlLdr User Station:' prompt
•
Press <1> 1: Download Data. You will be prompted with the following message:
Download deletes old data.
•
Press <Y> to continue. The User Station is now waiting for a XMODEM file transfer to begin.
From the COMPUTER terminal emulator, download the selected ROM file type using the XMODEM protocol.
•
Transfer file PRIMUX_HA_<type>_<revision>.b01.
Where <type> is PS2, USB or SUN, and <revision> is the upgrade revision available of the specified type.
When complete, after about 1.5 minutes, the following is displayed at the COMPUTER terminal emulator.
Download ok
BootLdr User Station:
Display the Option menu.

Press <?> ?: Option Menu:
•
Press 2 <Identify RAM Data> to display the data that has just been loaded into the User Station. Verify
that it the desired file. If not, repeat "Download ROM File" from the beginning with the proper file.
Note: If an error message is displayed, repeat these steps. If error message is displayed the second time,
contact NTI technical support.
Downloading of the selected ROM file is complete.
At the COMPUTER's terminal emulation program and the 'BootlLdr User Station:' prompt

Press <0> 0: Exit and Reboot
