3. Clean the seating.
6.6.9 To examine the pump diaphragm
1. Connect the pressure tester to the fuel pipe.
2. Put a hose from the impulse line into water.
3. Apply pressure with the tester.
If air comes out of the impulse channel, the pump
diaphragm is broken.
6.6.10 To examine the chamber diaphragm
You cannot examine the chamber diaphragm with a
pressure check. To examine the diaphragm, see
701 - 002 -
examine the measurement chamber diaphragm on page
42 . A hole in the diaphragm stops the fuel supply.
6.6.11 To examine the check valve for the air
purge bulb
This valve in the carburetor stops fuel leaks out of the
carburetor if leaks occur in the air purge bulb or
connections.
