CAUTION:
Observe the following considerations when cabling new shelves:
● Work on one SAS loop at a time.
● Allow at least eight minutes between each cable removal or insertion on a SAS I/O module in the Data Domain
controller to allow the Data Domain system to apply required firmware updates and device mapping on the
DS60 shelf.
● Verify all SAS cables are fully seated at both ends.
● If possible, utilize available SAS I/O module connections to add new storage enclosures.
