Tamper-Evident Security Seals
In compliance with the security requirements of the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS140-2), FIPS-
compliant tamper-evident security seals are applied to potential access points on this device. Security seals provide
evidence of unauthorized tampering or removal of components.
IMPORTANT!
Worn, damaged or missing seals must be replaced immediately.
Replacement seals are available for purchase from Siemens. For more information, contact a Siemens
Sales representative.
There are three ways to determine if a security seal has been tampered with:
• The seal is cut or torn
• A pattern is left on the device when the top layer of the seal is removed
• Residue left by the seal is visible on the device under ultra-violet light
