Sending a text message
1 When you have chosen or entered a message,
press Options and the Text Options menu opens.

Cancel sending
2 In the Text Options menu, scroll through the list of
options until the choice you want appears.
(If your radio has alphanumeric keys, you may be
able to dial the number of the party you wish
to call.)
3 Press Select.
The call details appear in the display. While the call
is being setup, you can cancel the call by
pressing Clear.
Placing the radio in
do-not-disturb mode
If you do not want calls for a while, you can place the
radio in do-not-disturb mode, so that incoming calls
can be ignored. You can make outgoing calls in the
usual way.
Using a function key
1 Press the function key programmed for do not
disturb, to activate the do-not-disturb function.
The message Do not disturb activated appears
in the display. Your radio will now ignore all
incoming calls.
2 To deactivate the do-not-disturb function, press
the do-not-disturb function key again.

While do-not-disturb mode is active, incoming
calls cannot be stored in the call queue.
