Make sure the telephone line is selected: see How to Set the Pos-
tal Services Connection p.143.
To set the parameters of the telephone line:

As supervisor (see How to Log in as Supervisor p.120):
Press and type
> Communication settings > Modem settings

Enter each parameter and press [OK] when screen is com-
pleted until you return to the Communications settings
screen.
