Setting "Br Oper.?" to "Yes" selects the breaker operations limiting set-
tings. These settings allow specific limitations to be placed on reclosing to
prevent damage to the power circuit breaker being controlled. The break-
er limit functions "Max Count", "Duration" and "Recovery" operate as fol-
lows:
Maximum number ("Max Count") of reclosures allowed during a given
time duration. For example a breaker may have a limit of 15 operations in
a 30 minute time period. Often a limiting number of reclosures in a given
time is the case for circuit breakers with pre-insertion resistors
As stated above, "Duration" is the time period being monitor in which the
limiting number of reclosures is checked.
When the "Max Count" per "Duration" limit has been reached, the circuit
breaker usually must remain open for a set period of time which is the "Re-
covery" time. The three parameters, "Max Count", "Duration" and "Recov-
ery" are detailed by the circuit breaker manufacturer.
Output contacts 1 and 2 can be configured for seven function of indica-
tions. The functions choices are listed in Table 2-6.
When selected, setting changes are allowed via the communications
port(s). This setting must be set to "Yes" or settings cannot be changed
through either comunications port..
When selected, this function allows the 52a input to initiate a closure
when the relay is in lockout. (See the setting "52a/Mancls above). This
closure can be supervised by voltage/synchronism check (HLDB, HBDL
or synchronism).
Note: A manual close can only be initiated when the recloser is in lockout.
This function allows one to disable/enable the Recloser/Synch-check op-
tion. The front panel, RECLOSER IN SERVICE LED, will go out when this
setting is set to "Disabled". The LCD display (if supplied) will also show
Time SetWhen selected, enables changing real time clock settings.
