ACCEPTANCE TEST

Verify that jumpers J4, J5 and J6 are in the correct
voltage positions.
Verify that jumpers J1, J2 and J3 are in the desired
positions (Normally Open or Normally Closed).
Verify that the resistor R32 near the microcontroller
(U13) is present for 60 Hz, absent for 50 Hz.
In order to test the recloser, it is recommended to
apply a fault to the relay using a AVO International,
Doble or Powertec multiphase test equipment.
Check that "Recloser" is set to "Enabled" and the
RECLOSER-IN-SERVICE LED is ON.
In order to prevent any undesired closure of the
breaker, disconnect the close contact output leads
(TB2 Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4).
With the front panel white switch in the RECLOSE
position, press the SELECT push-button until the
TEST mode appears. The status should show the
value 0. Using the RAISE push-button, move to the
function "Close Relay Contacts". Pressing the EN-
TER push-button should energize both close relays
(CLOSE -1 and CLOSE - 2), as long as ENTER is
depressed.
Proceed to a similar test for the Lockout Contact and LED, the In-progress Contact,
the Fail Contact and LED, and the all LEDs (for the) Recloser. These functions follow
the "Close Relay Contacts". test sequentially in the TEST mode.
The following inputs can be tested, in the "TEST" mode, by applying voltage to each
input and observing the "Inputs" display. Scroll to the "Inputs" display, apply rated
voltage and as each input is energized, the associated display segment changes
from "–" to "|".
