NOTE:
Self-Check status
A self-check of the main components on the module is continuously performed by the micropro-
cessor. The result is represented by a HEX value in the value field of the "Status" function. Refer
to I.L. 40-386.1, Section 4.4.2.1, paragraph d Test Mode for detailed status explanation.
2.5.6
Lockout Mode
The relay goes to "LOCKOUT" for any of the following reasons:
• Drive to lockout input energized
• Failed to close before the fail reclose max duration timer (when selected) expired
• Maximum cycle time reached (when selected)
• Agreement between 52a and 52b signals (when "52a/Mancls" is set to "Yes, 52a")
• Wait timer expired without satisfying selected SYNC/HBDL/HLDB condition
2.5.7
Disabling The Recloser
The recloser can be enabled or disabled through the "Setting" mode. When the recloser is set
to "Disabled", the recloser goes to the "Disabled" state and the display shows the text "Recloser
Disabled, Check Setting"; the Recloser In service LED will also go out.
Settings, Targets, Statistics and Test modes can still be accessed when the recloser is disabled.
To re-enable the recloser, set the "Recloser" back to "Enabled". The recloser returns then to
"Ready" mode after resetting from LOCKOUT. The Recloser In Service LED will light when the
recloser is "ready".
2. 6
RECLOSER/SYNC-CHECK OPERATION
Upon power-up, the recloser performs self-diagnostics routines. Detection of a continuing prob-
lem will cause the alarm relay ALARM 1 to drop out, and the recloser will be locked out. If no
problem was encountered, the recloser goes to READY state.
In the READY state, the recloser continuously monitors the input(s) selected to initiate the first
reclosure. The initiation setting can be the following:
Contact testing is disabled if recloser setting "Remote Set = Yes" or if reclos-
er is disabled by setting choice.
