This completes the detailed evaluation test for the REL 301/302 Recloser, Synch-check option.

condition is satisfied. Also neither the HBDL nor the HLDB LED should be lit. After
the "Reclosure 1" dead time expires the MMI displays the "Recl1 Wait" time count-
down and the timer setting. When it expires, the reclosing sequence will go to
"LOCKOUT" since neither voltage check condition is satisfied during "Recl1 Wait"
time.
Check of Reclose Sequence without HBDL or HLDB Condition. Apply a voltage
above the setting value of "V Max" to both the Bus voltage and Line voltage inputs.
Repeat the test in Paragraph 2.8, Section c.4.. Reclosure 2 will not be successfully
completed since neither voltage check condition is satisfied. Also neither the HBDL
nor the HLDB LED should be lit. After the "Recl Time 2" expires the MMI displays the
"Recl2 Wait" "No Time Limit" and the reclosing sequence stops. The reclosing se-
quence will continue to wait, indefinitely, for either of the voltage conditions to be
present.
Satisfying either voltage check condition will cause the reclosing cycle to continue
and the MMI displays the "Sync Time" count down and timer setting. If the voltage
check condition remains satisfied, the reclosing sequence will complete successfully
after the reset time.
Change the "Recl1 Sync" and the "Recl2 Sync" settings to "Yes" and return to
"READY" by pressing the RESET push-button.
Check of Reclose Sequence without Synchronism Condition. Repeat the test in
Section 2.11 Paragraph a.5 above. Apply a voltage above the setting value of "V
Max" to both the Bus voltage and Line voltage inputs with an angle between the two
voltages. The angle between the two voltages should be greater than the "Sync An-
gle" setting. Repeat the test in Paragraph 2.8, Section c.4..
After the "Reclosure 2" dead time expires the MMI displays the "Recl2 Wait" "No Time
Limit" and the reclosing sequence stops. The reclosing sequence will continue to
wait, indefinitely, for the presence of either of the synchronism or voltage check con-
dition to be present.
Change the angle between the applied voltages to an angle less than the "Sync An-
gle" setting. Changing the angle will satisfy the synchronism check condition and will
cause the reclosing cycle to continue. The MMI displays the "Sync Time" timer count-
down and timer setting. If the synchronism check condition remains satisfied, the
reclosing sequence will complete successfully after the reset time.
