DESCRIPTION
This setting allows the selection of voltage input reference with respect to
"Line" or "Bus" as coresponding to the synchronism voltage input. Wheth-
er the Synch-check option is present or not, this setting is available to al-
low correct display of metering and target voltage data. Since the refer-
ence is to the synchronism voltage input, the protection voltage inputs are
the opposite reference. For example, if the "Sync Volt" setting is "Line",
the protection voltage source is Bus.
This setting selects the maximum number of reclosures in a sequence (0
to 4). The settings relating to the non-selected reclosures don't appear on
the display. For example, if "Reclosures" is set to "2 recl" no settings for
reclosures 3 or 4 will be displayed and these settings will not effect reclos-
ing operation.
Selects the input(s) that will initiate the n reclosure where n represents re-
closure number 1-4. "52b only" will respond only to the 52b input and "3RI
only" will respond to 3RI (internal reclose initiate signal from the protection
logic) or External RI. "52b and 3RI" requires both 52b and 3RI or 52b and
External RI within one second, and "52b or 3RI" allow either 52b and 3RI
or 52b to initiate the n reclosure.
If one of the setting choices for reclose initiation ("Recl n") includes 3RI,
and "Recln RB" is set to yes, a Reclose Block signal from the protection-
will prevent the n relosing event from initiating. For example, "Recl n" is
set to "3RI Only". An external device energizes the External RI input and
the protection logic issues a Reclose Block signal. Reclosure n will not be
initiated.
This is the reclose time or dead time from the initiation of n reclosure until
the recloser checks Synchronism/Voltage requirements (if Synch-check
option in use) and subsequentally energizes the output contacts.
When set to "Yes", the "FailRecl ?" setting enables the function that keeps
the close output contact energized until 52b is removed, in which case the
system releases the close contacts and proceeds to the reset phase.
When enabled, "Fail Time" sets the maximum time the close contact is en-
ergized. If the breaker hasn't closed (52b removed) before this time ex-
pires, the recloser enters the LOCKOUT state, activating the FAILED RE-
CLOSE contact and LED. If "FailRecl ?" is set to "No", Close Pulse is the
next setting.
Active only when "FailRecl ?" is set to "No". ClosePulse sets a fixed time
the output close contacts remain energized. After this time, if the breaker
has closed (52b removed) the system proceeds to reset, if not, the reclos-
er skips to the next reclosure.
