No welder output
No welder output in CC mode

(Note: Must be hooked to a
battery for output)
No AC generator output

Fuse at welder field blown
Low battery voltage
Bad ground connection

Battery damaged or voltage too low
Fuse at generator blown

Serpentine belt slipping or damaged
Circuit breaker tripped
Faulty AC generator relay
Faulty capacitor
Motor speed too low
Weak or faulty capacitor
Belt slipping
Cap mF too small
Motor speed too high
Cap mF too large

SECTION 7: TROUBLESHOOTING
Corrective Action
Replace the welder field fuse. Refer to
Section 6.7, Servicing the System Fuses
and Circuit Breakers
Check/replace battery
Make sure of connection. Clean welding
surface.
Check all connections
Replace battery
Replace fuse. Refer to Section 6.7,
Servicing the System Fuses and Circuit
Breakers
Re-situate and adjust belt tension, or
replace belt if necessary. Consult Section
6.6.14, Replacing and Re-tensioning the
Serpentine Belts. Order replacement
belt—see Table 9A: Recommended Spare
Parts List.
Reset circuit breaker (two located on
machine and two located on panel)
Check; replace if necessary.
Check; replace if necessary.
Check Hz and adjust PTO
Check; replace if necessary.
Check tension or replace belt if necessary.
Consult Section 6.6.14, Replacing and Re-
tensioning the Serpentine Belts. Order
replacement belt—see Table 9A: Recom-
mended Spare Parts List.
