cutoff frequency and a boost afterward. When boosting the Low Shelf stage or cutting the
High Shelf stage, Q adds a boost before the cutoff frequency and a cut afterward. In the
image above, Q is turned up for both the Low Shelf (left) and High Shelf (right) filters, which
are cutting and boosting respectively.
