Continuity Test
With this function you can check electrical circuits, cables or
components for continuity.
Attention!
Do not perform continuity tests on voltage-carrying components
or circuitry.
Measuring Procedure
1. Make sure the component or circuit you intend to measure is
voltage free.
2. Connect the black measuring cable to the COM input (4) and
then connect the red measuring cable to the V/Ω/
input (5).
3. Then set the rotary function switch (6) to the measuring range
.
4. Press the FUNC./HOLD key (2) until
display.
5. An acoustic signal sounds if the resistance is lower than
30 Ω, confirming that the component or the circuit has passed
the continuity test.
Range
When the measured resistance is lower than 30 Ω, the buzzer
will sound. When the measured resistance is higher than 100 Ω,
the buzzer will not sound.
