Taking Measurements

Attention! When taking alternating current measurements (AC),
the measuring cables must be removed from the unit!
For all other measurements please use the provided measuring
cables.
First connect the black measuring cable to the COM input (4) and
then connect the red measuring cable to the V/Ω/
input (5).

AC Current Measurements

The measuring clamp can measure the current by measuring the
magnetic field around a live conductor. This does not work if
phase (usually black) and neutral (usually blue) are measured
together. Place the clamp only around one wire.
1. First, remove the measuring cables!
2. Set the rotary function switch (6) to the desired AC current
measuring range.
3. Open the clamp with the clamp opening
trigger (7) and place it around the wire
you intend to measure. Release the
trigger to close the clamp. Place the
conductor as close as possible to the
middle of the clamp and try to hold it
steadily during measuring. Only one
conductor may be clamped. Do not
touch any conductor with hand or skin.
4. The current value is displayed. If the selected measuring
range is too small, the overload indicator appears on the
display. In this case switch to the higher measuring range.
Do not exceed 600 Ampere!
