Possible Cause(s)
1. Circuit breaker tripped/
fuse blown.
2. Low voltage.
3. Defective switch.
4. Capacitor damaged.
5. Damaged circuit board.
1. Incorrect Buffer
Installation.
2. Buffing Wheel unbalanced.
1. Excessive pressure applied
while buffing workpiece.
2. Buffing workpiece with the
sides of the buffing
wheel.
3. Wheel does not turn freely
without power.
1. Binding causes overload.
2. Defective power cord or
plug.
3. Power switch is defective.
4. Faulty wiring inside buffer.
Suggested Solution(s)
1. Reset circuit breaker/ replace fuse.
2a. Remove other tools from power
supply.
2b. Check power supply matches tool's
power requirements.
3. Have qualified technician replace the
switch.
4. & 5 Have qualified technician replace
the capacitor or circuit board.
1. Remount buffer (see Installation).
2. Remount one buffing wheel. Rotate
it 90° from the original position and
then retighten (see Installation).
1. Replace worn wheel.
2. Only buff workpiece with the wheel's
face.
3a. Clean around shaft and wheels.
3b. Have qualified technician replace
the bearings.
