Search Tables
Search Tables consist of a three digit prefix always beginning with an '8' followed by two digits
indicating the length of the digit string. The next digits specify the number for the Controller to
monitor, followed by an action digit which tells the Controller what to do once the string has
been detected. For example:

Primary Table Number is 8, and 03 means expect three digits
Search Tables can be used to provide call control (Toll Control) and routing information. Digits
dialed by a caller are screened from 1 to 15 digits for Primary and Alternate, depending on the
Search Table you select. They can be subject to an action (as described in Figure 8.1).
The Controller provides 35 Search Tables: 15 Primary, 15 Alternate and 5 PABX Tables. These
Tables are numbered 801 - 815 for Primary, 821 to 835 for Alternate, and 841 - 845 for PABX.

When programming Search Tables, care should be taken not to affect calls that are dialed for
emergency. After programming a Controller, check the operation of emergency dialing to ensure
it has not been adversely affected.
