Sensors detect the pressure in the mask and in the hose system and also the respira- tory phase switch (trigger point). The fan accordingly provides the IPAP and EPAP pressures set by the doctor. Therapy modes The VENTIlogic can be operated in six therapy modes: CPAP, S, ST, T, SX, SXX and TA mode Your doctor will set the mode required for your therapy on the unit.
3. Safety instructions 3.1 Safety instructions Read these operating instructions carefully. They form part of the unit and must be available at all times. Use the unit only for the purpose described here (see “2.1 In- tended use” on page 7). For your own safety please observe the following points.

If the unit is to be utilized for another patient without using a bacteria filter, it must undergo hygienic preparation beforehand. This has to be carried out by the manu- facturer (WEINMANN) or a dealer. The procedure used for hygienic preparation is described in the inspection sheet and in the service and repair instructions for the VENTIlogic.

9. Maintenance 9.1 Intervals We recommend only having servicing and maintenance performed by the manufacturer (WEINMANN) or authorized dealers. Both filters must be regularly checked for soiling • The coarse dust filter should be cleaned once a week and changed no less than every 6 months.
9.2 Filter change Change coarse dust filter Use only original filters made by WEINMANN. If third-party filters are used, this will invalidate the warranty and may cause restrictions in terms of function and biocom- patibility. 1. If the VENTIclick humidifier is connected, first disconnect it from the unit. This will prevent water running into the unit when the filter is changed.
Page 41
To change the fine filter proceed as follows. 1. Press the flap of the filter compartment cover. Re- move the filter compartment cover. 2. Replace the fine filter with a new fine filter WM 15026. Dispose of the old filter with domes- tic waste.
Bacteria filter If bacteria filter WM 24148 is used, change the particle filter in the bacteria filter in accordance with the relevant operating instructions. 9.3 Change pressure measuring hose 1. Detach the sleeve on the creased hose from the Adapter adapter .
