URGICAL LLUMINATOR
Symptom
Lamp fails to start and
fans are not running.
Lamp fails to start and
fans are running.
Lamp shuts off after
operating for a few
minutes and restarts after
cooling.
Indicator light on and
lamp shuts off

Incorrect Replacement Lamp
Remedy
Check power supply cord and outlet
Refer to Hospital Engineering department
Inspect, replace and retest. Go to "Test #1: Blown
Fuses" on page 12.
Check and tighten slotted screw on lamp fixture
access door
Go to "Test #2: 100 WATT Power Supply" on
page 13
Install a 100W replacement lamp, model 90133.
Replace and retest lamp cable.
Inspect wiring and if it is fine, replace and retest
power supply.
Allow 2" (51mm) clearance at back of unit; insure
that air intake-outflow vents are clean and not
blocked. Allow unit to cool and then restart
Go to "Test #3: Cooling Fan" on page 13.
Verify operation of fans. Clean fans and internal
components of dust.
Verify LED flickers on when it is first turned on. If
not, go to "Test #4: LED/Overtemp Switch" on
page 13.
Install a 100W replacement lamp, model 90133.
Replace if prongs are discolored, broken, or bent.
To go "Test #6: Power Supply Calibration" on
page 14.
Rotate lamp 180° and re-insert
Install a 100W replacement lamp, model 90133.
