Electrical system
Lighting current is generated by the lighting
coil located on the coil plate. The lighting
system consists of a balanced output type
design for the headlight and taillight.
Overloading of the lighting system by the use
of additional lighting equipment is not re-
commended.
Because the lighting system is a balanced
output type, burning out of either the head-
light or taillight can result in a heavy surge
of electricity being forced to the remaining
light bulb. So it would be a good practice to
carry extra light bulbs when making long trips
and to immediately replace any burned out
bulbs.

Le courant d'~clairage est fourni par une
bobine d'alimentation monroe sur le stator
du volant magn~tique. Le circuit du phare
et du feu arri+re est du type ~i d~bit ~quilibr~,
c'est pourquoi il faut +viter d'ajouter des
accessoires suppl~rnentaires qui ne pourraient
que surcharger le circuit. De plus, parce qu'il
s'agit d'un circuit fi d~bit ~quilibr~, si
l'ampoule du phare ou du feu arri+re saute,
l'ampoule restante ne tarde pas fi sauter
~galement, parce qu'elle re~oit alors trop de
courant. Nous conseillons done de toujours
emporter des ampoules de rechange, surtout
pour les longues randorm~es, afin de pouvoir
remplacer imm+diatement toute ampoule
grill~e.
