. If the engine cannot started due to car-
buretor switch or throttle switch failure,
first
separate the connections; then, short
the curcuit on the wire harness side. This
will turn on the ignition circuit and the
engine can be restarted. In this case, the
throttle overide system will not work.
Go to your Yamaha dealer for immediate
service.

Before bypassing t h e T.O.R.S., be sure
the t h r o t t l e returns to the fully-closed
position. The T.O.R.S. is an important
safety device; in case of malfunction,
take machine to a Y a m a h a dealer im-
mediately f o r repair.
Avant de court-circuiter le T.O.R.S., s'assurer
que la commande des gaz retourne ~ la position
de fermeture complete. Le T.O.R.S. est un
dispositif de s6curit~ important; en cas de d~-
faillance,
ramener
la
machine
chez
un
concessionnaire Yamaha imm~diatement pour
la faire r~parer.
