7. Finish
The message "You have successfully completed the EDS Wizard
appears, Click Finish
Adding a Module to the 1756 Control Logix
After completing the EDS Wizard, shown in the previous steps 1 – 7,
return to the main window of the RS Logix 5000.
Follow the steps below:
1. Select New Module from drop down menu under I/O Configuration
In the Controller sidebar, expand the I/O configuration and right-
click on your network. Select New Module.
2. Under Catalog - Select Module Type: Ethernet LDT

3. General Tab – Assign name, description and IP address
In the New Module window, enter the name in the Name field and
select the IP address radio button and enter the IP address that is
assigned to the sensor. Click on the Change button in the Module
Definition field.
4. Module Definition
The following Dialog Box will appear:
In the Name field select the drop down menu and select the
appropriate choice (Position, Velocity and Extended Status).
In the Size field select the drop down menu and select the
appropriate choice (DINT). Click OK to close the New Dialog box.

5. I/O Configuration
Verify that the new sensors is listed in the I/O Configuration
The AMETEK Ethernet/IP™ LDT is now connected to the Network
and ready to use
