KP100G
Processing the Communication Cable
RS-485
KP100G has RS-485 as a standard interface. The RS-485 card enables the multi-inverter connection solution. The card is a half-duplex with 2-wires,
one for each inverter connection. The steps for processing the RS-485 are as follows. When the RS-485 card is inserted, the RS-232C port is not
available.
Processing the communication cable of RS-485
RS-485 is installed in KP100G as a standard. To use RS-485 cards, please:
1. Remove the protection cover as shown in Fig, 5-25 (a). Remove screws, and pull out the fixed plate and RS-485 card.
Protection cover
2. Prepare 2 pairs of shielded, twisted-wires for connection between the inverter and computer or between inverters. Fix the wires as shown before
insertion of the cards as shown in Fig, 5-26.
Two types of rubber bushing for RS-485 connection as illustrated in Fig, 5-3.
The rubber bushing with 2 holes should be used for connection of multiple inverters.
The rubber bushing with 1 holes should be used for connection of single inverter or last one inverter of multiple connected inverters.
Pull out to remove.
