Stopping the Water Pump
1. Press stop switch to "Stop" position until engine
stops (Figure 17).

CAUTION
Backfire, fire or engine damage could occur.
• DO NOT stop engine by moving choke lever to "Full
Choke" position.
Drain and Flush Water Pump
1. Disconnect and drain suction and discharge
hoses.
2. Remove drain plug at bottom of pump (Figure 18).

3. Remove plug from top of pump and flush internal
components of pump with clean water (Figure 19).

4. Replace both plugs and finger tighten.
