other elements in your workpiece; remove them be-
fore you start working.
Always check that the supply voltage is the same as the
f
voltage indicated on the nameplate of the charger.
Switch off the power tool immediately when the tool
f
insert jams. Be prepared for high reaction torque that
can cause kickback. The tool insert jams when:
• The power tool is subject to overload or
• It becomes wedged in the workpiece
Use only accessories with an allowable speed match-
f
ing at least the highest no-load speed of the tool.
The tool/charger is not intended for use by persons
f
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowl-
edge, unless they have been given supervision or in-
struction concerning use of the tool/charger by a per-
son responsible for their safety.
Ensure that children do not play with the tool/charger.
f
Hold the machine with a firm grip. High reaction torque
f
can briefly occur while driving in and loosening screws.
Secure the workpiece (a workpiece clamped with
f
clamping devices or in a vice is held more securely
than by hand)
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when
f
performing an operation where the cutting accessory
or fastener may contact hidden wiring or its own cord
(cutting accessory and fasteners contacting a "live"
wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool
"live" and could give the operator an electric shock)
Use suitable detectors to find hidden utility lines or call
f
the local utility company for assistance (contact with
electric lines can lead to fire or electrical shock; damag-
ing a gas line can result in an explosion; penetrating a
water pipe will cause property damage or an electrical
shock).
Always wait until the machine has come to a complete
f
stop before placing it down. The tool insert can jam
and lead to loss of control over the power tool.
Dust from material such as paint containing lead,
f
some wood species, minerals and metal may be harm-
ful (contact with or inhalation of the dust may cause
allergic reactions and/or respiratory diseases to the
operator or bystanders); wear a dust mask and work
with a dust extraction device when connectable.
Certain kinds of dust are classified as carcinogenic (such
f
as oak and beech dust) especially in conjunction with
additives for wood conditioning; wear a dust mask and
work with a dust extraction device when connectable.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGERS AND BAT-
TERIES
1. BATTERY CHARGERS
a. Before charging, read the instructions.
b. For indoor use. Do not expose to rain.
c. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
2. BATTERY
a. The battery must be removed from the appliance
before it is scrapped.
b. The appliance must be disconnected from the sup-
ply mains when removing the battery.
c. The battery is to be disposed of safely.
d. Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
e. Do not crush, open or burn the battery. Exposure
to potentially harmful materials may occur.
f. In case of fire use C0
g. Do not expose to high temperatures >45°C. Cells
may degrade at high temperatures.
h. The battery must be charged by a constant current,
constant voltage transformer.
i. Charge battery regularly in conditions between 5°C
to 45°C with the specified charger designed for this
battery.
j. Store in a dry, well ventilated area within the rec-
ommended limits of 10°C to 30°C.
k. Do not use battery if it has been stored at 5°C or
less. Allow it to "normalize" at room temperature
before usage/changing.
l. During decommissioning remove the battery cell
for recycling separately to the product, which is
covered by the waste electrical and electronic
equipment directive. Insulate the terminals with
adhesive insulating tape to prevent a short circuit,
fire or explosion occurring.
