– Wind jack arm up by turning the crank in
the spindle until the jack goes just
under the vehicle.
– The claw of the jack must fit round the
vertical rib on the side member so that
the jack cannot slip when vehicle is
lifted – see illustration.
– Align jack and at same time wind claw
up further until it contacts the vertical
rib on side member.
Lift vehicle until the wheel is just clear
of the ground.
After loosening, remove wheel bolts
using box spanner in screwdriver handle
(see illustration), place them on a clean
surface (hub cap, cloth, paper) next to the
jack and remove wheel.
Fit spare wheel.
Take the screwdriver handle and
tighten the wheel bolts handtight.

under a a ny c c ircumstances!
Lower vehicle and fully tighten bolts in
diagonal sequence using wheel spanner.
On vehicles with normal spare, fit the
wheel trim again.

When fitting the wheel trim, you must first
press on the trim at the valve cut-out and
then press on around the full circumfer-
ence.
The support for the temporary spare
wheel must first be removed before the
normal wheel is placed in the well. The
wheel must then be secured in position
by using the handwheel.
The support must first be placed in posi-
tion in the well before the temporary
spare wheel can be replaced in the well.

In this way, unnecessary scratching of the
floor of the well and the surface of the
wheel can be avoided.
Notes

– Check t t he i i nflation p p ressure o o f t t he
replacement w w heel a a s s s oon a a s p p ossi-
ble.
– Have t t he t t ightening t t orque o o f t t he
wheel b b olts c c hecked w w ith a a t t orque
wrench a a s q q uickly a a s p p ossible. T T he
torque f f or s s teel a a nd a a lloy w w heels i i s
110 N N m.
If t t he w w heel b b olts a a re s s een t t o b b e c c or-
roded o o r t t oo t t ight w w hen c c hanging t t he
wheel, t t hey m m ust b b e r r eplaced b b efore
checking t t he t t orque.
Until t t his h h as b b een d d one, y y ou s s hould
only d d rive a a t l l ow s s peeds.
The defective wheel should be repaired
as soon as possible.
