tion k k ey.
Pull h h andbrake o o n f f irmly.
Move g g ear l l ever i i nto n n eutral o o r,
in a a utomatic g g earboxes, i i n " " P"
position.
Allow e e ngine t t o c c ool o o ff.
As l l ong a a s t t he e e ngine i i s a a t o o per-
ating t t emperature:
– Do n n ot p p ut y y our h h and i i nto t t he
radiator f f an, i i t c c ould s s witch o o n
suddenly.
– Do n n ot o o pen t t he r r adiator c c ap
because t t he c c ooling s s ystem i i s
under p p ressure.
Never s s pill a a ny l l iquids o o ver t t he
hot e e ngine. T T hese l l iquids c c ould
ignite.
Avoid c c ausing s s hort c c ircuits i i n
the e e lectrical s s ystem – – p p articularly
at t t he b b attery.

an a a dditional d d anger p p resent f f rom
rotating p p arts – – e e .g. V V -belts, g g en-
erator, r r adiator f f an e e tc. – – a a nd f f rom
the h h igh v v oltage i i gnition s s ystem.
If w w ork o o n t t he f f uel o o r e e lectrical
system i i s n n ecessary:
– D D isconnect t t he b b attery f f rom t t he
vehicle e e lectrics
– D D o n n ot s s moke
– N N ever w w ork n n ear n n aked f f lames
– A A lways k k eep a a f f ire e e xtinguisher
in t t he v v icinity.
Attention m m ust b b e p p aid t t o t t he
warnings g g iven i i n t t his M M anual a a nd
to t t he g g enerally a a pplicable s s afety
regulations.
When t t opping u u p f f luids d d o n n ot
confuse t t hem w w ith e e ach o o ther
under a a ny c c ircumstances, o o ther-
wise s s erious f f unctional d d efects
may o o ccur.
The g g round u u nderneath t t he v v ehi-
cle s s hould b b e c c hecked r r egularly
in o o rder t t o c c atch l l eakages i i n t t ime. I I f
spots c c aused b b y o o il o o r o o ther f f luids c c an
be s s een, t t he v v ehicle s s hould b b e t t aken
to a a T T echnical S S ervice C C entre f f or
checking.
