Procedure Steps
1 Connect the KVL to the USB modem. (See
Communication, page
For the USB communication to work, the power supply must be connected to the KVL at all times.
On the KVL main screen, select Store & Forward → Connect to KMF → Through modem (USB).

Step result: The following takes place:
1. The connection between KVL and KMF is established.
2. KVL sends status reports of radios to KMF.
3. KVL receives keys and jobs for radios from KMF.
3 When all the information has been sent, tap Done to return to the KVL main screen.

Prerequisites:
The KVL must have a UKEK assigned for the algorithm type of the keys being downloaded, and the UKEK must
match the UKEK defined for this KVL in the KMF.
