Chapter 5: BIOS Overview The SBC-815ET-VER comes with AWARD BIOS stored in Flash ROM. This BIOS has a setup program that allows users to modify the system configuration. System settings are stored in the CMOS RAM so they are retained during power-off periods. When the system is turned on, the system communicates with peripheral devices and checks its hardware resources against the configuration information stored in the CMOS memory.
