SETUP
BEEPER
The audio BEEPER provides an audible alarm when a motion
detection alarm is activated. When alarms are enabled and
valid motion is detected in a cell, the audible alarm indication
sounds if it is enabled (ON).
The default BEEPER setting is OFF, disabled. To change the
BEEPER setting:
1. Move the cursor to the AUDIO BEEPER line.
2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button to select ON or OFF.
'AD' CONTACT NUMBER
The 'AD' CONTACT NUMBER specifies the relative Alarm
Contact Number, in the selected AD Group number, for alarm
codes transmitted to Matrix Controllers (see page 6 for
definition of Contact Groups and Numbers). The contact
number range is from 1 to 64.
The default setting for 'AD' CONTACT NUMBER is 1 for
channel 1, and 2 for channel 2. To change the number:
2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button to decrement or
increment the value. from 1 to 64.

ALARM MODE

The ALARM MODE establishes the method of clearing the
motion detection alarms. ALARM MODE is set to Instant
(INS) - the alarm is cleared when the input is cleared, Auto
(AUTO) - the alarm is cleared 20 seconds after the alarm input
is cleared, or Manual (MAN) - the alarm is cleared using the
ALARM button.
The default setting is Automatic (AUTO). To change the
ALARM MODE setting:
1. Move the cursor to the ALARM MODE line.
2. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button to cycle the value
between INS, AUTO, or MAN.
When all modes are set as desired, press the MENU button to
exit to the Main Menu, page 4.

SET TO DEFAULTS

To reset the DuoTect-C parameters to the factory default
values, move the cursor to the SET TO DEFAULTS line in the
Main Menu and press the MENU button. When this function
is selected, the following Default Menu is displayed.
DEFAULT
1. DEFAULT CHANNEL 1
2. DEFAULT CHANNEL 2
3. DEFAULT ALL SYSTEM
Press the ALARM button to exit from this menu without
resetting any parameters to their defaults.
To set either channel (or both channels) to the default values,
move the cursor to the appropriate line and press the MENU
button. The following modes and parameters are reset to the
indicated values for the selected channel(s):
Setup Mode - DYNAMIC
SCENE RETENTION - 8
SENSITIVITY - 8
ADJACENCY (both directions) - 3
ZONE 1 ENABLED - YES (filled with detection cells)
ZONE 2 and 3 ENABLED - NO
ZONE CROSSED (both directions) - NO
AD CONTACT NUMBER - 1 (for CH l), 2 (for CH 2)
BEEPER - OFF
DETECTION TRACE - ON
ALARM MODE - AUTO
NUMBER OF CHANNELS - 2
NUMBER OF MONITORS - 1
DWELL TIME - 4
ADCONTACTGROUP-
OUTPUT BAUD RATE - 1200
Following the above reset, a message is displayed at the
bottom of the menu indicating that the reset is complete, as
illustrated below. (The message indicates which default was
reset, Channel One, Channel Two or all system parameters.)
Press the MENU button to return to the Main Menu, page 4.
Note: This action resets all parameters, thus any Detection
Zones that were previously configured for the channel reset
are lost and must be re-configured via the other setup
menus.
