WIRING AND ADJUSTING THE SWITCH OPERATOR

Check operation of the disconnect by operating
the switch operator several times to observe
the action. Operation should appear smooth,
with the disconnect drive-shaft cranks
coming to rest fi rmly against their stops, in an
overtoggle position, in both opening and closing
directions.
If necessary, realign the disconnect position
indicators on the switch operator output-shaft
collar with the alignment arrow. See Figure
58.
With the switch operator in the fully open
position and then in the fully closed position,
check the corresponding switch operator
position indicator. In each position, the
corresponding position indicator should be
readily visible from the front of the enclosure.
If adjustment of either position indicator
is necessary, remove the motor-circuit fuse-
holder, loosen the two set screws (see Figure 58)
and rotate the indicator to the desired positon.
Retighten set screws.
