Possible Causes
Was the Keep Warm function used
continuously for more than 24
hours?
Does "0:00" blink on the display
when the power plug is connected
again?
Are there any cooked rice or grains
of rice on the upper casing and inner
lid gasket or around the open/lock
button?
Condensation may collect in the upper casing immediately after rice is
cooked or while the Keep Warm function is on but it is not a malfunction.
Wipe the upper casing using a dry cloth when condensation collects.
Is the inner lid dirty?
More condensation can be formed
on a dirty inner lid.
Is the power plug properly connected
to an outlet?
Is the Keep Warm lamp on?
Inserting/disconnecting the power plug may sometimes cause small electric
sparks. This is specific to the IH feature and not a malfunction.
Such smells may occur when the rice cooker is first used, but they should
go away over time as the rice cooker gets used. If this is an issue, clean
the rice cooker according to "Removing odors (When odors remain in the
rice cooker)".
Such stripes and waves are produced when the resin is being molded. They
do not affect the performance of the rice cooker.
It is due to boiling and not a malfunction.
Is the inner lid attached?
If the rice cooker is placed on the carpet or where the room
temperature is high, the air inlet and outlet can be blocked, causing
the temperature inside to rise. In this case, the rice cooker may not
respond to any key operations. Resolve the problem according to the
following procedures:
(1) Disconnect the power plug.
(2) Relocate the rice cooker to where the air inlet and outlet are not
blocked and the room temperature is low.
(3) Insert the power plug into the outlet again and operate the keys.
If the rice cooker does not respond to key operations, it is a
malfunction of the rice cooker. Disconnect the power plug and contact
an authorized service representative to request for repairs.
