Ensure the tractor PTO master shield is in
place, lowered and in good condition.
•
Ensure each mower slip clutch shield is
secured in place and in good condition.
•
Ensure the driveline slip clutches are properly
adjusted and the friction plates are not frozen
together. Reference the Maintenance Section
for proper slip clutch maintenance.
•
Inspect the condition of driveline shear bolts. A
sheared bolt indicates that the driveline slip
clutch is frozen or damaged.

Perform scheduled lubrication as specified in
the maintenance section.
•
Inspect each gearbox oil level using dipstick
level indicator and replenish if needed. A low
oil level is a warning sign that the gearbox may
be cracked or its seal is damaged and needs to
be replaced.
•
Ensure all gearbox vents are in place and free
from clogs. OPS-R-0011_G
•
Ensure each hydraulic cylinder is installed and
retained correctly. Ensure the proper size pins
are used to retain the cylinders in place and
are secured with pins.
•
Check for hydraulic oil leaks on the cylinders,
along the hydraulic lines, and at tractor
hydraulic ports.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT use your hands to check for
oil leaks. Use a piece of heavy paper or cardboard
to check for hydraulic oil leaks. OPS-R-0013_E
