OPERATION

7.5 Adjusting Lift Rods

Adjust the link rods until cutter is at least 3/4" lower
in the rear that than the front. To lower the front,
lengthen the lift rods and to raise the front shorten
the rods.
IMPORTANT: Adjust the lift rods the same amount
and maintain equal tension in the rods. Improper
adjustment may cause rods to snap or bend.
To facilitate safe and efficient operation, the mower
should be operated with the deck approximately 3/
4" LOWER IN THE REAR THAN THE FRONT.
To raise the front of the center frame, back off nut
"A" and tighten "B" until the correct deck pitch is
achieved. Retighten nut "A". To raise the front of the
wing, tighten the turnbuckle until the wing pitch
matches the center section.
To lower the front of the center frame, back off nut
"A" and loosen nut "B" until the correct deck pitch is
achieved. Retighten nut "A". To lower the front of
the wing, loosen the turnbuckle until the wing pitch
matches the center section.
Operating the mower with the rear of the deck
slightly lower than the front provides better suction,
lifting the grass and creating a clean cut with less
windrowing. For heavier applications, the front of
the mower may need to be raised an additional 1/2"
- 1".
