10-4) ADJUSTING LOW-NOISE PRESSER FOOT

1) Setting the low-noise presser foot
① Unfasten all screws on the presser foot driver cam and driver lever. Turn the hand pulley and set the needle bar
at the lower dead stop (180° ). Insert the roller into the cam and turn the cam to where the roller is at the
maximum eccentricity point of the cam (the roller sticks out of the arm the most in the picture below). Fasten
the screws back on the driver lever.

[CAUTION]
Make sure not to leave a gap between the driver lever and the arm when you screw back the lever. Push
the driver lever to the arm and screw back.
② Turn the main driver pulley and fix it at 100° . Turn the
cam and fix it when the presser foot is positioned on
the stopper rubber of the presser foot. Fasten the screw
on cam ①, turn the main driver pulley and fasten the
screw on cam ②. Make sure the roller is not inserted
too deeply into the cam.
