Addressing Parameters
The BACdoor OEM Client Status tab is available for
diagnostic purposes or to change the settings of the BACnet
Configuration Tool itself. It is not used to modify settings
specific to the communication module. It is only required if any
of the following statements are true:
1. The Baud Rate was modified from 38400
2. The MSTP Station (MAC) Address was set to 1
3. The Device Instance of the communication module has
been set to 3333, which is the same default value as the
BACnet Configuration Tool
4. If the computer setting for the EIA-485 converter needs
to be changed from Comm Port 1
NOTE: In order for the BACnet Configuration Tool and
the communication module to operate correctly,
they must both be at the same Baud Rate but
have different Device Instance Numbers and
MS/TP Nodes.
The BACnet Configuration Tool uses standard BACnet
commands when communicating via a BACnet network. For
example, it issues a ReadProperty or WriteProperty request to
the device object (in this case, the chiller unit controller).
The BACdoor OEM Client Status displays the status of BACnet
packets as they are being exchanged among the BACnet
