Installation procedure

Cathodic protection

Mechanical components assembly

Install the meter housing (e.g., flanges) onto the pipeline.
The meter housing internal components are assembled by the factory. The components
do not need to be uninstalled or reinstalled unless maintenance is required.
6.2.1
Fasteners
Property class of the fastener is in accordance with ASME B16.5.
Stud bolt and nut types
All fasteners (nuts and studs) used in assembling Daniel turbine meters are made of one of
the materials listed in the table below.

Selection of flange stud bolts and nuts
Select all fasteners (nuts and studs) used in a hydrostatic test according to the flange
size and quantity listed in ASME ANSI B16.5.
Use the shortest stud bolt that permits full engagement of the thread through the nut
by hand-tightening.
Use only clean, rust-free nuts and stud bolts.
