Clean and Re-apply Grease to the Guide Rods

8. Confirm that grease is not attached to the Feeler
Sensor.
9. Clean the Encoder Strip after applying grease to the
Guide Rod.
 Note: For plastic encoder strips, you may need to
clean the encoder more than once a week if you are
printing often (clean about every 30 to 50 prints or
daily if necessary, to avoid bad prints or encoder
errors). Metal encoder strips should be checked for
dust and grease and cleaned with a dry lint free wipe,
only as needed.
10. Move the carriage to the left end by hand.
