    Printing on Fabric Removing Dust and Flattening Fibers This process is to print on fabrics clearly. The optional finisher is used. • As the A4 standard tray, A5 tray, and Sleeve & Socks Tray becomes hot when continuously used on the optional finisher, give an interval of five minutes or longer to set them after they are pulled out.

    Printing on Fabric Loading a Fabric in the A4 Standard Tray This section explains how to load a fabric into the A4 standard tray. The same operation applies when the A5 tray is used. • When attaching or removing fabrics in tray, take care not to trap or injure your fingers.

The image will be printed in the direction from the front side to the back side of the tray. Turn the protective cover inside out and put it on the fabric in the direction as shown in the figure.

    Printing on Fabric Loading a Sleeve in the Sleeve & Socks Tray When you want to print on the sleeves of a garment, use the sleeve & socks tray. • To use Sleeve & Socks Tray, you need to install the latest firmware (ver. 1.20 or later) on the machine.

  • Page 22 Printing Load the tray in the tray stand. Put the back side of the tray in the tray stand and push it in gently until it stops with a click. You can check whether the tray is loaded correctly by looking at the line on the left side of the tray.
  • Page 23 Click [Start Printing] on the Design Software. • Print data are transferred to the machine. • When the machine receives the data correctly, the [Start] key lights up in blue. DSB023 Make sure that the [Start] key is lit up in blue, and then press it. • After the tray is loaded into the machine and the height of the table is automatically adjusted, printing starts.

    Printing on Fabric Handling Printed Goods Precautions when washing printed goods ■ N ote the following handling precautions for T-shirts and sweat- shirts: • Turn garments inside out before washing them. • When washing T-shirts and other garments by hand, dis- solve some neutral detergent in lukewarm water of about 30°C (approx.

    If Print Results Are Not Satisfactory Troubleshooting for Each Error When black or white streaks appear or when color shading or color shifting appears The print head nozzles might become clogged. Print and check a nozzle check test pattern, and then perform a head cleaning or a head flushing.
  • Page 34 If the print head is still clogged Repeat Steps 1–5. After this procedure is performed multiple times and you wait for a while, normal printing may become possible. If the print head is still clogged even after the proce- dure above is performed Repeat Steps 1–5.

Print and check a nozzle check test pattern, and then perform a head cleaning or a head flushing. If nozzle problems occur, print head nozzles become clogged and ink cannot be ejected properly.

    Machine Maintenance Head-flushing Follow the procedure below to perform a thorough print head cleaning. Because head flushing consumes more ink than head cleaning, do it only if the print head cannot be cleaned properly by head cleaning.
