Clean and Re-apply Grease to the Guide Rods

Guide Rod Front
Caution:
When cleaning the guide rods, try to avoid
touching the encoder or the carriage belt.
The printer may not operate properly.
Be sure to use the cleaning applicator provided by RICOH. Applicators are
designated for this printer. The accumulation of lint can cause the carriage to
malfunction and need to be replaced if the guide rods are not cleaned and greased
correctly

Open the lid of the printer
Wipe off the old grease and
lint stuck on the guide rod with
a cleaning applicator.
There are two guide rods
"guide rod: front" and "guide
rod: main".
Clean both
